Brown Bag Senate and Election Information

Interested in running for any of the open officer positions in Faculty Senate? What IS Faculty Senate? Should I consider running for Senator of my department? As current Senator, how do I best fulfill my duties? As Senate President, I am happy to host an informal session during college hour on Friday, March 24th where we can spend some time talking about the open positions, the role of Senate in shared governance, and what the actual Senator duties are within our organization. The current officer positions up for election are Faculty Senate President, Vice President of Professional Staff, and Secretary. If you cannot make this session, please feel free to reach out to me via email or phone, and we can set up a time to chat. Looking forward to seeing folks in person, and having some time to answer important shared governance questions. All are welcome, including current Senators and bring your lunch!
