Federal Compliance Response Committee Overview
My sincere thanks to our many colleagues who expressed their appreciation for the formation of the Federal Compliance Response Committee (FCRC) and their willingness to participate as needed. I am, as ever, grateful for how readily our College community embraces the opportunity for collaborative work for the benefit of all. Given the interest expressed, I thought it would be helpful to offer further detail on the purpose and process.
I established this committee, which reports to my office, to advise the President and ELT on emerging federal compliance requirements. At this time, the composition of the committee has been established and is comprised of colleagues already engaged in this work. It is important to note that the committee will be engaging stakeholders from across the College community, as appropriate, to solicit input and expertise, ensuring an inclusive decision-making process.
The Federal Compliance Response Committee’s responsibilities include:
- Assessing Potential Impacts on our Institution
- Ensuring Stakeholder Input and Engagement
- Advising on Policy, Procedures, Processes and Strategic Initiatives
- Supporting Implementation and Accountability
The committee will be convened as needed, minimally weekly, and is anticipated to be engaged in this work for an initial period of six months. The FCRC will provide regular reports to the President and Executive Leadership Team. The College community can expect timely updates regarding the work of this committee. Any questions regarding the work of the FCRC or potential issues you feel should be on their agenda can be directed to co-chairs Brenda Ronan (bronan1@monroecc.edu) and Carolyn Hunt (chunt014@monroecc.edu).
Again, my sincere gratitude to all who have expressed their willingness to serve in some capacity in support of this work. This is yet another example of our commitment to working Together as One and I could not be more proud.
