Check spam for student emails

You may wish to more frequently check your Junk Boxes at https://spam.monroecc.edu because messages from students that contain potentially harmful content may be blocked. False positives happen with spam filtering, so it is possible that legitimate messages from students (or any other outside sender) could be junked. Note that internal messages sent between @monroecc.edu users are not subject to filtering via this platform.

To check your Junk Box, visit https://spam.monroecc.edu in a web browser and log in with MCC Network Account credentials. The contents of the Junk Box are displayed upon log-in, and any erroneously filtered message can be delivered to the Inbox by selecting an item from the list and clicking the "Unjunk" button.

  • Whitelist (always deliver messages from this sender or domain to my Inbox) and blacklist (never deliver messages from this sender or domain to my Inbox) entries can be maintained under Security Services -> Anti-Spam -> Address Books.

  • In addition, many users have found it helpful to enable the periodic Junk Box Summary digest messages, which sends a listing of messages that have been placed in their Junk Box since the last notification. These digests can be configured to send at any configured interval - from as often as hourly to once every 14 days.

  • To enable Junk Box Summary notifications, click Junk Box Management -> Summary Notifications to configure.
