Set in 1943, a group of college students, called the White Rose, mount an underground resistance movement against Hitler and the Third Reich in Munich. Its only female member, Sophie Scholl, is captured during a mission to distribute pamphlets on campus with her brother Hans. Her cross-examination by the Gestapo quickly escalates into a searing test of wills. The true story re-creates the last six days of Sophie Scholl's life: a journey from arrest to interrogation, trial and sentence.
