Updating the MCC Daily Tribune Rules and Guidelines

The MCC Daily Tribune is our daily employee e-newsletter and reading it is how most of us begin our work day. Its content is submitted by employees, for employees. Community Relations, working with Technology Services, has updated rules and guidelines for the Daily Tribune, which can be found in the attachment below and in the portal via the FAQ tab. The goal of these updates is to create a uniform submission process that reduces errors, as well as provides answers to frequently asked questions. While the majority of the rules and guidelines remain the same or contain some minor adjustments, there are two major changes: one regarding the submission time and the second about how attachments are submitted.

Beginning March 8, the submission deadline will now be 3 p.m. and if you are submitting an attachment with your Trib article, you will need to create a Technology Services support request with your submission. This will assist to ensure that all attachments are Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) compliant and are accessible. To help facilitate this, a “Tech Request” button now appears in the submission form. You will receive an email notification when your attachment is approved. Please allow for adequate time, approximately two weeks, for the review and approval of your attachment and to prevent delays in your posting.

Both of these changes are to help ensure that our Daily Tribune provides timely and accurate information for our entire MCC community.

If, after reading the updated rules and guidelines, you have questions or comments about the changes, you can email the Community Relations Department.

Thank you.
