A Look at the New myMCC's Usage

One of the things that the Title III team is proud of, is how much the new myMCC is being used by students and staff alike.

The old myMCC tended to get around 15,000 page views and 18,000 clicks on the old link to Blackboard. The new myMCC checks in at over 600,000 menu clicks. Additionally our new offering gives us a deeper look at not only who is using the system, but what type of device they're using as well. The most used type of device in Jan 2023 was Apple's iOS with 808,116 page hits. 2nd was the good old web browser with 640,481 page hits.

Another thing that our analytics tell us is that employees use their computers the most (159K page hits in January) and that students use their mobile devices the most to use the site (872K page hits for both Andriod and iOS combined). This kind of engagement tells us that our community is using the new system nearly all of the time. 

Finally you may be asking what our most used tile is. It's not even close. The Brightspace tile wins with 162,381 clicks in January 2023 vs the 18,000 clicks on May of 2022 in the old system! Our system is being used.

We're not sitting idle. There's more to come. We're working on improving the Career and Financial plans. We're going to be launching information pages about our divisions, schools and departments. And our first "short term tile" is coming to make it easy for students to vote for SGA elections. And we're always refining our offering.
