Experienced Online Teaching Faculty Needed

The SLN Advisory Committee needs your help! The committee is forming two sub-committees to address MCC’s online offerings as they relate to degree programs. Currently, MCC offers more courses online than all the other SUNY two-year colleges, but we offer only three full degrees online with our own courses and an additional four programs when our courses are combined with those offered through the SUNY Learning Network.  The SLN Advisory committee has been charged with examining the possibility of increasing these offerings.

The two committees being formed are the Online Program Development Committee and the Marketing and Promotion Committee. The Online Program Development Committee will look at which programs are offered 50% or more online and determine what courses would need to be developed online to move these programs fully online. They will examine a variety of data regarding enrollment, department need, and demand among other information report their findings to the SLN Advisory Committee. The Marketing and Promotion Committee will look at what information is available currently online regarding MCC’s online offerings and compare that to our benchmark institutions and report their findings regarding the best way to promote our online offerings.

If you are interested in working on either committee, please respond to Holly Wheeler at: <"mailto:hwheeler@monroecc.edu"> by Nov. 30th.
