MCC Anthropology Professor David Day is serving as consultant for the new George Eastman House exhibition "Site Seeing: Photographic Excursions in Tourism." The colorful exhibit opened Saturday with a members preview and runs through September 5.
Day, who teaches a course on the anthropology of tourism, said "It's great working with the Eastman's film and photography curators and go 'behind the scenes. We selected some of the world's oldest photographs and other images of famous tourist sites for for inclusion in this new show. Everyone who see them will recognize places they've been or heard about and see them in a new light," he added.
