CORRECTION: Your Paycheck Starting 9/1/2022
Correction: This is effective 9/1/2022.
This notice applies ONLY to: Executive, Non-Contract, and Faculty (both teaching and non-teaching) employees paid over 12 months.
This notice does NOT apply to: Faculty employees paid over 10 months, CSEA employees, part-time hourly employees, or student aides.
If you are an Executive, Non-Contract, or Faculty employee paid over 12 months, your base salary is typically paid on a bi-weekly basis in equal amounts over 26 pay periods in a Fiscal Year (September 1 - August 31).
Occasionally, about every 10 years including Fiscal year 2023 (September 1, 2022-August 31, 2023) - a Fiscal Year will include 27 bi-weekly pay periods. As a result, you will receive your 2022/2023 base salary on a bi-weekly basis in equal amounts over 27 pay period starting with your September 1, 2022 paycheck.
Example for an employee that has a current (Fiscal Year 2021/22) base salary of $52,000:
- Current bi-weekly paycheck = $2,000 ($52,000/26 bi-weekly pay periods)
- Future bi-weekly paycheck starting on September 1, 2022 (Fiscal Year 2022/2023):
- $52,000 x 2.75% raise = $53,430 Fiscal Year 2022/2023 base salary
- Bi-weekly paycheck = $1,979 ($53,430/27 bi-weekly pay periods)
