The Sixth Act and VaPA - This Saturday!

Join The Sixth Act and VaPA this Saturday, November 19, for MCC's production of Into the Woods followed by a short talkback with the student artists involved. The New York Times calls the current Broadway run of Sondheim's Into the Woods a "work of giddy playfulness and moral seriousness," claiming this fabulous fairy-tale retelling "asks its characters (the surviving ones, anyway) to exchange the narcissism of childhood—the wishing, the wanting—for a more nuanced ethical framework that emphasizes interdependence." The Sixth Act can't think of a better time for all of us to emphasize interdependence than right now. This is an opportunity to celebrate together the work of our VaPA colleagues and students, and also to experience the wonder of Sondheim's humane and brilliant re-imagination....
