The Support Staff Professional Development Committee (SSPDC) is once again asking the college community for their help. Alternatives for Battered Women (ABW) has recently asked for donations of school supplies for the children at their shelters.

These children often leave their home with little or no notice. Many of them do not have the opportunity or time to take much with them. Once they are settled and into school again they need to be supplied with the neccessities.  e are asking for items that children of all ages would need in a school setting.  Some suggestions are pens, pencils, backpack, lunch boxes, small boxes of crayons and markers, basic calculators, folders, binders, notebooks, etc.  Basically anything you can think of that a student might need.

The collection will take place from now until September 29, 2004. There have been several locations set aside in which you may drop off your items:

Damon Campus - Diane Cannito
PSTF -  Sue Nupp
Applied Technologies - Elaine Reichgott

Brighton Campus
Building 1 - Carol Wilkinson, ETS VP Office - 1- 3
