Tech Tip: Update Your Password Before Summer Break

Your MCC password is good for 180 days from when you update or reset it if you don't have past due cyber security awareness training. If you are up to date on your training and you reset your password today, it will be good until the middle of October -- that will be one less thing to take care of when you return for Fall semester.

How do I know when my password is expiring?

  • You can check the exact date and time of your password expiry yourself.
  • Go to myaccount.monroecc.edu and click on the SIGN IN button at the bottom of the screen.
  • After you sign in with your current password, you will see an overview of your account, including your employee ID (M number), how long before your password expires in days left, and also the exact date and time when your existing password expires.
  • Will you be away on that day?  You can elect to change password (from left hand menu).

Got a new cell phone number?  Have you changed your personal email address?

  • Update your Account Recovery information - this information is used to verify your identity so you can reset your password if it has expired.

By the way, MCC Technology Services staff will never ask you for your password! Emails asking you to supply your username and password are phishing--never give out your password.
