MCC Educators for Global Awareness (MEGA) would like to invite you to a series of events to be held during the first week of May. The title of the series is "The Hydrogen Age Is Here.... Catch the Wave" and focuses on the Rochester region's leading role in research and practical application of emerging technologies such as hydrogen fuel cells and cogeneration..

Session #1: Tuesday, May 4, 4:00-5:30 pm, Room 5-100

Presenters are Martin Dodge, Professor of Conservation, FLCC, and Michael Dwyer, Director of RIT's "First in Class" Program, a partnership between industry, government, and RIT to develop emerging technologies.

The dual focus of this session will include the larger context of the issues involved and how a student can prepare for the career opportunities that are likely to become available in our area.

Session #2: Friday, May 7, College Hour, Room 12-203

Presenters are Bob Bechtold, owner of Har-Bec Plastics, a local leader in hydrogen energy system implementation, and Bruce Keeley, Consulting Engineer with Energy Concepts, a local firm involved in MCC's new cogeneration facility and many other projects.
