Update on Cost-saving Discussions

I want to begin by expressing my sincere gratitude to everyone who has generously devoted their time to meet with me or correspond or share remarks regarding the ongoing discussions on necessary cost-cutting measures. As was previously shared, these conversations are underway and no decisions have been made. Your input and perspectives are invaluable as we navigate these challenging times together. 

In accordance with our collective bargaining agreement, Management continues to meet with the Faculty Resource Committee (FRC) to continue their work to collectively research and identify opportunities for implementable measures to improve the long-term financial health of MCC. I am grateful for the efforts of all involved, as well as the many offers I have received from the college community to participate in cost-saving initiatives.

I remain thankful for this dedicated and caring MCC community. These conversations are difficult for everyone, and any decisions will be implemented in accordance with the consultation process we've committed to and are still ongoing.
