TCC: Welcome to Fall 2024
The Teaching & Creativity Center’s mission is to continually work toward equitable outcomes for a diverse student body by increasing teaching effectiveness, inspiring innovation, and improving student learning. The TCC fosters a supportive environment in which we continue to improve our teaching practices throughout our careers. The TCC promotes the scholarship of teaching and learning, helps all who teach engage in reflective dialogue, applies current research to practice, and connects teaching and learning to institutional initiatives.
I would like to highlight the programs, workshops, and resources that the TCC is offering in Fall 2024. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to the TCC coordinator, Melis Kural (mkural@monroecc.edu).

Reflective Practice Groups
Reflective practice groups (RPGs) are a nationwide professional development model established to improve student learning and success by supporting educators in reflecting on and improving their practice. A reflective practice group helps you reflect critically on your teaching among friends. RPGs are led by a trained facilitator and use structured protocols to look at curriculum, teaching dilemmas, student work, peer observations, and pivotal moments so that participants can provide each other with specific and actionable feedback. If you are interested in joining an RPG group, please contact the facilitators.
