The MCC Board of Trustees held its meeting in the Warshof Conference Center, R. Thomas Flynn Campus Center, Monroe B on the Brighton Campus on Monday, October 5 and took the following actions:
1. Accepted the Interim Financial Reports as of July 31, 2015.
2. Authorized the purchase of items over $20,000 as listed for the month of July 2015.
3. Expressed its recognition, respect and gratitude to the members of the College’s Tobacco-Free Committee.
4. Honored the generosity and dedication of the Louis S. and Molly B. Wolk Foundation with the naming of the MCC Surgical Technology and Nursing Collaborative Learning Laboratory to the Wolk Surgical Technology and Nursing Collaborative Learning Laboratory.
5. Adjusted the 2015/2016 base annual salaries in accordance with Article 46, Salary Equity of the Faculty Association Contractual Agreement. Adjusted salaries will be effective September 1, 2015.
6. Adopted the “Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Policy” effective October 5, 2015. (Attached)
7. Adopted the “Workplace Violence Prevention Policy” effective October 5, 2015. (Attached)
8. Adopted the “Child Protection and Mandatory Child Abuse Reporting and Prevention Policy” effective October 5, 2015. (Attached)
9. Adopted the “College Administration Policy” effective October 5, 2015. (Attached)
10. Conducted an Executive Session pursuant to Public Officers Law §105, subsection (e): collective negotiations pursuant to Article 14 of the Civil Service Law and (f): the medical, financial, credit or employment history of a particular person or corporation, or matters leading to the appointment, employment, promotion, demotion, discipline, suspension, dismissal or removal of a particular person or corporation.
The Board heard presentations from The Bonadio & Co. regarding the College’s annual audit; Vice Chair Tillinghast and Student Trustee Carmichael regarding the recent New York Community College Trustees conference; MCC Foundation Chair Jeremy Wolk on Foundation initiatives; and Assistant Vice President Randy Bowen and President Kress on the College’s new website.
