This week the Student Government Association (SGA) is sponsoring Women’s Week.
Among the events is tonight’s screening of the 1979 film “Norma Rae”. Oscar Winner Sally Fields stars as a single mother working at a factory in the south. When a union organizer from the north comes to form a union Norma’s life changes. Going against the male-dominated society & workplace she begins to grow and take charge of her own life. This is an excellent film about women and unions.
The showing is at 6:30 in room 12-229. Popcorn will be served!
Professor of History Mark Sample will introduce the film.
