5K Walk/Run for Scholarships Team Raises Funds in Memory of Linda Curran

Consider joining or supporting one of the many teams formed in honor or in memory of a member of the MCC family. Teams like Lap for Linda, led by team captain Donna Burke. This team has participated in the 5K for the last six years and raised a total of $23,950. Why? According to Donna, "The biggest reason we love doing the Lap for Linda team for the MCC 5K is to keep Linda's spirit of fun and generosity alive here at MCC. Linda loved working with students in the Registration and Records Office and many of her students thought of her as a mentor and a friend. It would make her very happy that we are supporting students in such a meaningful way."

Funds raised by the Lap for Linda team will be directed to the Linda Curran '79 Memorial Student Aide Scholarship fund. On the day of the 5K, proceeds from the sale of blue tutus to commemorate Linda's love of the New York Yankees will also be directed to the Linda Curran scholarship.
