Are you curious about Open Educational Resources (OER)? Wondering what makes materials “open” and how they can enhance your courses? Interested in making learning more affordable and accessible for your students?
Join OER Librarian Michelle Beechey for an interactive session exploring OER, Creative Commons licensing, and copyright. This session will begin with a brief overview, followed by an open discussion where your questions drive the conversation.
Topics include:
- SUNY OER Impact Grants: Upcoming call for proposals
- Finding high-quality open materials in your subject area
- Integrating open resources into existing courses
- Developing a fully open course
- Licensing your own materials for open use
Build Community Through Mindfulness (Feb 12, Downtown Campus)
The Teaching and Creativity Center and the Wellness Council are pleased to sponsor three Building Community Through Mindfulness events this Spring semester. Our first Building Community Through Mindfulness event will be on February 12th from 3 pm to 4 pm in High Falls A/B at the MCC Downtown Campus.
Together, we will enjoy relaxing music, mindfulness posters, finger labyrinths, journaling, snacks, and fun. Although RSVPs aren’t necessary, it would be helpful for planning purposes if you complete this online survey.
