Board of Trustees to Welcome New Member
At the October 7, 2024, meeting, the Monroe Community College Board of Trustees will welcome MCC alumna Angelica Perez-Delgado as its newest member. New York State Governor Kathy Hochul appointed Perez-Delgado to replace Daniel M. Delaus Jr.
Angelica (Angie) Perez-Delgado is the President and CEO of the Ibero-American Action League. She has over 30 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, beginning her career as a substance abuse therapist. A native of Rochester, Angie grew up in the North Clinton neighborhoods and has a unique perspective shaped by her experiences with poverty, trauma, and dropping out of high school at the age of 16 as a teenage mother. She later earned her GED and an Associate's degree from Monroe Community College, which helped her turn her life around through the very services she now leads.
Angie’s contributions to the community have been widely recognized, including her induction into the MCC Alumni Hall of Fame. She holds a Master of Science in Health Administration from Roberts Wesleyan College, an Advanced Certificate in Theology, Scripture, and Ministry from Northeastern Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science in Community & Human Services from Empire State College. An active grassroots organizer in Rochester's Northeast, Angie participates in various advisory groups and boards.
Please join me in welcoming Trustee Perez-Delgado to MCC!
