United Way Campaign Continues

Good Morning, Changemakers!

It is time to make a difference…

This week, you should have received a mailer from United Way at your home address. It includes all the details about how you can participate in this year’s campaign, whether through one-time donations or payroll deductions.

When I received my mailer, I took some time to explore the long list of local organizations that you can direct your donation to. I was struck by how many of these agencies have had a personal impact on me or on people I care about. For example, I’ve donated to a couple of organizations that mean a lot to me personally.

As the proud father of three boys—two of whom we adopted with the help of Catholic Family Charities—I know firsthand the profound impact such organizations can have on families.

Additionally, during my years as a local police officer, I spent a lot of time at The Child Advocacy Center of Rochester. This incredible agency supports children and families who have endured abuse, and the work they do is invaluable to our community.

These are just two of the many organizations listed. Your local fire department may also be on the list, along with dozens of other deserving agencies. I encourage you to take a moment to review the list and consider supporting a cause that resonates with you.

Here’s my challenge to you: No matter how small, consider making a donation. Even forgoing one cup of drive-through coffee each week could make a difference. Every contribution counts. Our community needs us now more than ever.

Thank you for your generosity and support!
