"Stop the Violence" Community Conversation at Brighton Campus

This evening, Uniting and Healing Through Hope of Monroe County, in partnership with church, law enforcement, town, and county leaders, will host “Stop the Violence” walks in Brighton and Henrietta that lead to an outdoor community conversation on the Brighton Campus. The effort and event are in response to our community’s ongoing wave of violence. All members of the community are welcomed to participate.

Beginning at 6:15 p.m., groups will walk from lots at 790 Jefferson Road and 111 Westfall Road to the Brighton Campus. The conversation will begin at 7:00 p.m. in Lot F. Monroe County Executive Adam Bello, Brighton Town Supervisor Bill Moehle, Henrietta Town Supervisor Stephen Schultz, Rush Town Supervisor Gerald Kusse, and representatives of law enforcement agencies are among the speakers.

Uniting and Healing Through Hope of Monroe County is led by Clay Harris. According to, Mr. Harris, “Our task will continue until we see an end to this epidemic of senseless violence and killing.”

Our thanks to MCC Campus Events and Public Safety colleagues for their help in preparing for the event.
