Chief Stephen Wise, Public Safety is offering a presentation on de-escalation – helping diffuse tense situations in professional settings. This is for anyone who may encounter upset individuals. Attendees will learn what to say, what not to say, and what to keep in mind for your safety.  Chief Wise draws on 35 years of experience as a Police Officer, as an FBI-trained Hostage Negotiator (and the father of 3 boys) to help guide the discussion. Please join us on September 18 from 11am to 12pm in the Empire Room. Hosted by the Support Staff Planning Council.
