Two Monroe Community College Students Win League of Innovation Awards

Two Monroe Community College students won the League of Innovation Awards this spring. Kaitlyn Roberts won first place in the One-Act Play category of the International Student Literary Awards for her play entitled “Star-Crossed.” Roberts received a $500 prize for placing first.

For the International Student Art Awards, Jeremy Southern won third place for his artwork entitled “Late Night Light Painting.” Southern received a $200 prize for placing third.

The 2023-2024 International Student Literary Awards were held at Seattle Colleges in Seattle, Washington. Monroe Community College will host the awards next year. The 2023-2024 International Student Art Awards were held at Moraine Valley Community College in Palos Hills, Illinois. Santa Fe College will host next year’s awards.
