Congratulations Sarah Hagreen, MCC's League Excellence Award Recipient

Sarah Hagreen, Director and Registrar, Registration and Records, is the 2023 recipient of MCC’s League Excellence Award. This award is specifically designed to recognize dedicated, impactful leaders within MCC. Sarah has led many areas and is recognized for her exceptional work ethic, professionalism, and steadfast commitment to MCC.

Sarah’s relationship to MCC began in 1994 as a freshmen student, and then in 2001 she was hired at as an Admissions Counselor. When Sarah was hired as Director of Admissions in 2017, she was charged with leading the implementation team for Recruit, our enrollment CRM software that would innovate the ways we managed inquiries, prospective student communications, and data collection. With Sarah’s vision, the Office of Admissions was becoming more sophisticated and strategic.

Furthermore, Sarah most notably led the Office of Admissions through the COVID-19 pandemic – an unprecedented turn of events that forced a very student-facing office to turn operations upside down. Despite these challenges, Sarah led and embraced Zoom appointments, virtual recruitment webinars, and Live Chat in order to maintain connection to prospective students.

Most recently, Sarah was hired as the Director of Registration & Records in 2021. She entered that role with 20 years of experience at MCC, a working knowledge of Banner (arguably one of the best in the college!), and the earned respect from both old and new colleagues. Her staff say that she asks great questions and notes her collaboration with academic leaders in order to streamline procedures that benefit students and staff. It has been a joy to congratulate Sarah with this award, and we look forward to many more years of service!
