The Holocaust By Bullets

MCC’s Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Project has partnered with the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, local colleges and community organizations to bring Father Patrick Desbois to Rochester to speak about his efforts to uncover the truth about the Holocaust in Eastern Europe.

During the 1930s and 1940s, 1.5 million people were murdered in the Ukraine and Belarus (Belorussia). Some regard it as the “Holocaust within the Holocaust.” Fr. Desbois traveled to the Ukraine seeking a memorial to pay homage to those that were murdered, but he found no monument, no formal account. Since 2001, he has devoted his life to confronting Holocaust denial and locating every grave and site at which Jewish people were killed during the Holocaust in Eastern Europe.
