Monroe Community College students Ann Schwartz, Webster; Crystal Ezman, Spencerport; Rosslin Horton-Riley, Rochester; and Ana Lucia Piedrahita, Rochester; have been selected to the prestigious Phi Theta Kappa All-New York Academic Team.
Schwartz, who qualified for a spot on the academic team’s first squad, will receive a medallion and two years of free tuition to the State University of New York school of her choice. Ezman, Horton-Riley, and Piedrahita, who made the third squad, will receive certificates for their achievements.
All four students will be honored at a reception in Albany on April 21. To qualify for the team, students must possess a grade point average of 3.25 or higher and have fulfilled a community service component.
