Last chance for Support Staff to RSVP for SSPC Meeting 8-20

Are you a Support Staff member at MCC? The Support Staff Planning Council (SSPC) is open to any current part-time, full-time, provisional, and temporary Support Staff. Not sure if you qualify? Support staff includes those in the following titles at all levels: Secretary, Clerk, Executive Secretary, Management Assistant, Custodial Supervisor, Custodian, Senior Library Clerk, Library Clerk, Buyer, Guard, Public Safety personnel, Campus Peace Officer, Assistant Engineer, Cashier, Cleaner, Financial Aid Analyst, Public Safety Dispatcher, Public Safety Assistant, Maintenance Mechanic, and more. We would love to have you join us for the first SSPC meeting of the 24-25 Academic year! We will be providing light refreshments and information on our group, as well as sharing our upcoming plans and events. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the Support Staff Planning Council, collaborate with other Support Staff, and enjoy some light snacks! The SSPC is now recognized as a member of Shared Governance, meaning we have a seat at the table at the ELT (Executive Leadership Team) and BOT (Board of Trustees) meetings to bring up issues, concerns, needs, plans for PD, events, etc. In order to maintain this role, it is vital that we boost participation. We are viewed as CSEAs equivalent to the Faculty Associations Faculty Senate. Please come join us on August 20th at 11am in Building 1 Room 300 Conference room. We hope to see you there!
