MCC Libraries Summer Updates: New Resources and Services for Fall Courses

As we gear up for summer and look ahead to the fall semester, MCC Libraries remains dedicated to ensuring student success. We’re excited to share our latest updates and resources:

Enhanced Fall Course Support

Our expert staff and librarians are here to assist you in integrating library resources and research support into your fall courses. We offer a range of services, including:

  • Identifying Print and Digital Materials
  • Customized Research Guides: Librarians can create specialized LibGuides that meet your specific teaching needs.
  • Library Orientation and Research Instruction: Schedule sessions to help your students excel in their research, or encourage them to make a research help appointment with a librarian. We recommend including information about research help options directly in your course information sheet or Brightspace course.

Expanded Student Support Services

  • Presentation Coaching: Do you incorporate public speaking into your course? Our new presentation help appointments have received great feedback. Encourage your students to take advantage!
  • Student Technology Advancement Center: Located in the library at the Brighton Campus, this new service offers tech support and training to enhance students’ digital literacy skills.

New Database Access

  • Gale Legal Forms, Peterson’s Test and Career Prep: Starting July 1, these databases will be available through NOVELny, thanks to successful state advocacy efforts.

New LibGuides on Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Explore our new guides on AI tailored for both faculty and students
