Enhance Your Curriculum with Kanopy: Streaming Videos through MCC Libraries
The Kanopy video platform, available through MCC Libraries' website and the Library tile on myMCC, provides access to a wide range of films and documentaries licensed for curricular support. Films and videos are leased by request, usually for one full year.
When searching the database, if a desired film is not currently leased by MCC Libraries, you’ll see a “Request Access” option on the film’s title card. To request the film, simply select Request Access and complete the form with as much detail as possible. Since each request incurs a cost to the library, we encourage faculty to request films that align closely with their teaching needs. Once approved, films can be streamed on your preferred device.
In addition to Kanopy, MCC Libraries offer other streaming platforms such as Academic Video Online (AVON) and Films on Demand which may also meet your classroom needs. We encourage you to explore these options as well.
For questions, please contact Rick Squires (rsquires@monroecc.edu), our Collection Management Librarian.
