Calling for Peace: Israel & Palestine

Join the Student Government Association's Peace Committee for an educational and safe environment for students, faculty, and staff to come together and share their feelings about atrocities happening around the world.
Holocaust Survivors: Steve Hess & Marion Ein Lewin
- Wednesday, October 9th, 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, Brighton Campus Center Forum (room 3-130)
Join the Holocaust, Genocide, and Human Rights Project for an afternoon of testimony where you can meet twin brother and sister Steve & Marion, Holocaust survivors from Holland. Hear their story and have a chance to ask them questions about their journey as they stayed together and survived Westerbork and Bergen Belsen concentration camps.
Visiting Poet: Dana Levin
- Wednesday, October 9th, 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, Brighton Campus Building room 8-200
Dana Levin’s most recent book of poetry is “Now Do You Know Where You Are” (Copper Canyon Press,2022), a New York Times Notable Book and Lannan Literary Selection. Her first book, “In the Surgical Theatre”, was chosen by Loiuse Gluck for the 1999 American Poetry Review/Honickman First Book Prize and went on to receive numerous honors, including the 2003 PEN/Osterweil Award.
