Don't Fool With Your Heart


April Fools’ Day has come and gone; but there are still ways you can take care of your health and heart!

Mail in the attached pledge card today to the American Heart Association (AHA); proceeds will be applied to the MCC team. 

Where do your fundraising dollars go?

Research - For every dollar raised here in Rochester by the AHA, $2.00 comes back to the community from the AHA funding life-saving research right here!

Research - In Rochester, there are 21 studies currently being funded this fiscal year. The total amount of grant money awarded to these studies was $4.8 Million.

Advocacy - In Rochester, several key priorities for this fiscal year include obesity prevention, CPR in schools and AED placement Urgent Care Quality.  In Rochester, The University of Rochester Medical Center (Strong), Highland Hospital, Rochester General Hospital and Unity Hospital have all received recognition for their success in using Get with the Guidelines to improve quality of care for heart disease and stroke patients.

Fit Friendly Worksites - The AHA has acknowledged 26 companies with an award for worksite wellness, working with them to improve their wellness programs covering 100,000+ Rochester area workers.  MCC was recognized as a Gold Level Fit and Friendly Worksite in 2014!
