Phi Theta Kappa and the Philosophy department are Co-Presenting the 50s Sci-Phi Film Series (1950s Science Fiction Films with a Philosophical Slant) at the George Eastman House with RIT and St. John Fisher College on Thursdays in March & April.
Officers from Phi Theta Kappa will be introducing the following two films and leading a discussion afterwards:
Invasion of the Body Snatchers (Don Siegel, US 1956, 80 min.) - March 30th at 8:00pm
Earth vs. the Flying Saucers (Fred F. Sears, US 1956, 82 min.) - April 27th at 8:00pm
Admission to these films and the others in the series (listed below) are Free to MCC students, faculty and staff with proper ID. The films screen in the Dryden Theatre. Box office opens at 7:00pm
The Incredible Shrinking Man (Jack Arnold, US 1957, 81 min.) – March 16th at 8:00pm
Invaders from Mars (William Cameron Menzies, US 1953, 78 min.) – March 23rd at 8:00pm
Them! (Gordon Douglas, US 1954, 94 min.) – April 6th at 8:00pm
The Thing (From Another World) (Christian Nyby, US 1951, 87 min.) – April 13th at 8:00pm
This Island Earth (Joseph Newman, US 1955, 86 min.) – April 20th at 8:00pm
