Kelsey Bright Appointed Assistant to the Provost and Vice President, Academic Services

I am very pleased to announce that Kelsey Bright's appointment as Assistant to the Provost and Vice President, Academic Services, was approved by the MCC Board of Trustees on August 13, 2018.

Kelsey earned an M.S. in Policy Analysis from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and a B.A. in Political Science from Allegheny College.

Kelsey is joining us from Finger Lakes Community College where she has been serving as the Assistant to the Provost since 2014. Previously, she served as the Assistant Director at the U.S. Government Accountability Office in Washington, D.C.

At Finger Lakes, Kelsey led the budget formulation on SUNY PIF grants, collaborated with shared governance on college-wide policies and procedures, helped improve faculty evaluation systems, and championed a concurrent enrollment project for greater partnerships with local secondary schools to increase student readiness and FLCC's applicant pool. FLCC honored her work with the Distinguished Service Award for exceptional performance.

Kelsey's significant experience in policy and procedure writing and review, shared governance, cross-divisional collaboration, and other areas will be an asset to MCC.

Please join me in welcoming Kelsey to MCC and to the role of Assistant to the Provost and Vice President, Academic Services.

Andrea C. Wade, Provost and Vice President, Academic Services
