Quotes That Inspire

The following was submitted on behalf of former Interim President Kate Douglas:

As my MCC chapter closes and an exciting new administration begins under President Burt-Nanna, I offer the following as my final “Quote that Inspires.”

My Irish grandmother would share the following quote, a traditional Gaelic blessing, whenever someone was embarking on something new. When I or my sisters departed for college the first time, at our wedding rehearsal dinners, etc., my Gram would stand to share the following, with a slightly different ending in her version:

“May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields
and until we meet again, may the goddess hold you in the palm of her hand.”

You are in good hands, MCC, as I happily embark on Retirement 2.0.
