DWIGHT Downtown Launches "Food Everywhere" Initiative with ACE Interns Leading the Way

This summer, DWIGHT—the Downtown Campus food pantry—kicked off its brand-new Food Everywhere Initiative, aiming to bring nutritious, grab-and-go food directly to students where they need it most.

The initiative is being powered by two passionate and dedicated interns, Daemon and Malachi, from the ACE at MCC program. Thanks to their leadership, food boxes have already been delivered to several key student areas, including Health Care, Criminal Justice, Downtown TACC, and ACE at MCC.

The vision for Food Everywhere is simple but powerful: ensure students have easy access to healthy food at every major campus touchpoint—because no student should have to choose between focusing in class and finding their next meal.

As we prepare for the fall semester, the team is working hard to expand the reach of this initiative even further.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who continue to support DWIGHT—whether by donating, stocking shelves, or simply spreading the word. Your generosity is helping us build a stronger, more inclusive campus community where students feel seen, supported, and nourished.

Stay tuned—DWIGHT’s Food Everywhere movement is just getting started!
