Many Faculty Association members have asked about your contractual obligation for February 14, 2007.
Since the College was open, you were required to work or account for your absence on your time sheet through the use of leave time (personal, vacation or flex, if available). The College will waive its right to pre-approve the use of such leave. If you believe sick leave is an option, you should consult Article 10 to determine its appropriateness.
When the College closes, typically due to the County of Monroe declaring a State of Emergency, employees are not required to charge leave time.
If you have already submitted your time sheet, you can submit an amendment to Karen Chin ("mailto:kchin@monroecc.edu") with a copy to your supervisor.
