Check the Trib each day this week to learn more about the new Liberal Arts at MCC!
Did you know?
- The College has developed three distinct Liberal Arts Programs that correspond to the interest areas defined by the seven Schools.
- The new Liberal Arts programs allow students to explore their interests while developing essential skills, including problem solving, cultural awareness, communication, creativity, innovation, ethical decision-making, and adaptability.
- The Liberal Arts programs (A.A. and A.S.) are designed for seamless transfer to a wide variety of bachelor’s degree programs and can even prepare students for eventual admission into graduate degree programs.
Students are currently being admitted into these new programs:
- LIB1 - Lib Arts & Sci: Arts, Hum, Soc Sci A.A. (LIAH, LISG pathways) *
- Undeclared students will be housed in LIB1 with a pathway of LIU1. These students will work closely with Career Services to identify their interests and goals.
- LIB2 - Lib Arts & Sci: Professional Studies (formerly Business and Community Engagement) - A.S. (LIBE, LICD pathways) *
- LIB3 - Lib Arts & Sci: STEM & Health Sciences (formerly Applied Sciences, STEM, and Health) - A.S. (LITE, LIST, LIHP pathways) *
*The last two letters of the pathway code correspond to the respective school
