Volunteers Needed to Assist in Pooled Testing

Due to the increase in weekly surveillance testing, MCC Health Services and Public Safety are looking for volunteers to assist in pooled testing.

Volunteers are needed to help students and colleagues register with the SUNY Upstate Medical site, take temperatures, check in to our Pooled Testing Center, provide test kits, and assist with collecting saliva samples.

The time commitment is 2 or 2.5-hour increments. Training and PPE will be provided. Sessions are held 2:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Warshof Conference Center, Flynn Campus Center (Monroe A/B) on the Brighton Campus.

Volunteers who assist in pooled testing in New York state may be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine (Phased Distribution of the Vaccine website).

Interested? Contact Lori Scipioni (Public Safety) at (585) 292-2902 or lscipioni1@monroecc.edu for more information.
