Middle States Moment: What is MSCHE?
The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) is the accrediting body that ensures MCC and other institutions meet high standards of quality in education, operations, and student support. MSCHE accreditation is more than a stamp of approval. It’s what makes federal funding possible; confirms that we’re meeting rigorous academic and institutional benchmarks; and assures students, families, and our community that MCC is a trusted institution of higher learning. Every seven years, MCC engages in a comprehensive Self-Study to reaffirm our accreditation with MSCHE. This process involves data collection, analysis, writing, and collaboration across campus. Right now, our Middle States team is in the final stages of preparing the first draft of the Self Study report, a key milestone in telling MCC’s story.
Stay tuned for more updates and a closer look at the seven standards that guide the Self-Study in our next Middle States Moment!
