The first film in the Holocaust Genocide and Human Rights Project 2013 Human Rights Film Festival is “Call Me Kuchu,” documenting the work of David Kato to obtain recognition of the rights of gay, lesbian, transgender, and bisexual men and women in Uganda. Kato’s work is more difficult with the passage of a bill sentencing HIV-positive gay men to death. Showings are at Damon City Campus Feb. 26, 3:30 in Room 4151 and Brighton Campus Feb. 27, 6:30 in The Forum.
