Passing of Jacqueline (Carson) Witz, former Director of Health Services at MCC

I regretfully inform the college community that Jacqueline (Carson) Witz, formerly of MCC’s Health Services Department, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2024, at the age of 68.

Hired in 2008, Jacqueline spent her entire MCC career (ending in 2021) in the Health Services Department, rising to the rank of Director.

Jacqueline is survived by her loving husband Brian Witz, three adoring sons: Elliot (Sayuri), Nicholas (Stacy), and Jesse (Amanda), three loving grandchildren (Leone, Layla, and Layne), her former husband and father of their children, Ron Carson, and four siblings: Michael (MaryBeth), Christine, Barbara (David), and Nancy, and a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father (Raymond Hasenauer) and her mother (Marilyn "Mickey" Wilson Hasenauer).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to LifeLink Tissue Bank.

Her ashes will be interred with her parents in Woodlawn Cemetery in Canandaigua, NY, sometime later this year. Funeral services are being handled by the Johnson-Kennedy Funeral Home, Canandaigua, NY.
