TCC: Reminder: RSVP for the November 8 Adjunct Supper for Success
How well do your students' grades reflect what they know about your course content?
During the 2022-2023 academic year, about two dozen MCC faculty members read and discussed the book Grading for Equity: What It Is, Why It Matters, and How It Can Transform Schools and Classrooms by Joe Feldman. On Wednesday November 8, join Tracey Graney (Biology) and Jim McCusker (ESOL/TRS) to learn about the three pillars of equitable grading practices and explore example practices from the book and the book group faculty. Participants will leave with some thought-provoking ideas about grading and a few practices that are easy to implement.
Dinner starts at 5:00pm, and the program begins around 5:15pm. Check-in opens at 4:45pm. Coming from class? Don't worry, you are welcome to slip in even if you have to be late.
We look forward to seeing you Wednesday, November 8 from 5 to 6:30pm, Monroe A.
Please register for the Adjunct Supper for Success by 5pm November 1st.
