KATIE COURIC TELECONFERENCE

Monday, November 13, 2006

8-9:30 p.m.

Monroe A/B (Warshof Conference Center)

Monroe Community College

Presented by:     The Museum of Television & Radio and MCC’s Visual & Performing Arts Dept.

Katie Couric may describe herself as "ridiculously normal," but her historic appointment as broadcast TV’s first solo female nightly news anchor caps a twenty-five-year career as an accomplished interviewer, skilled reporter, and popular TV personality. Two months into her new job on CBS Evening News, Couric will discuss her vision for refining network news in innovative ways that speak to today's news audience. Couric is a 2005 honoree of MTR's She Made It initiative.

This event, the twelfth in a series honoring William S. Paley, founder of CBS, has been generously underwritten by the CBS Foundation.
