SUNY Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP)

I’m pleased to share that Monroe Community College has been selected to participate in the SUNY Advancing Success in Associate Pathways (ASAP) program, with a full program launch scheduled for Fall 2025. This exciting opportunity reflects MCC’s ongoing innovation and unwavering commitment to student success. The SUNY ASAP initiative aligns seamlessly with the College’s strategic plan, Vision2027, and Unlocking Opportunity goals, reinforcing our mission to transform lives and communities. The initial cohort of 150 students will benefit from wraparound support within an integrated community of learners.

What is ASAP?

SUNY ASAP provides students with the support they need to finish their degrees on time at the two-year level. The program’s built-in supports include funding to cover textbooks, groceries, transportation, and other costs of attendance; targeted academic assistance; comprehensive personalized advisement; and career development activities.

Any student who is eligible for Pell or TAP is eligible for ASAP.

Learn more at SUNY ASAP website.

Background

SUNY ASAP is modeled on the highly successful City University of New York (CUNY) Accelerated Study in Associate Programs (ASAP) and its related baccalaureate program Accelerate, Complete and Engage (ACE), which have been found through rigorous evaluation to dramatically increase completion rates, narrow opportunity gaps, and realize cost efficiencies and benefits. Since their inception in 2007, ASAP and ACE have collectively served more than 100,000 students within CUNY and have been replicated in seven states.
