MCC President's Tribute to 9/11 Victims & Heroes

“For the 23rd year, students, faculty, and members of our Monroe Community College family will gather to remember the lives lost and honor the heroism shown on September 11, 2001.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry once said, “It was the worst day we have ever seen, but it brought out the best in all of us.” By gathering at the September 11th Remembrance Walk on the Brighton Campus, we continue our commitment to honoring the sacrifices made on that day while pledging to support one another and uphold MCC’s core values of community and inclusiveness.

As the daughter of a Korean War veteran, I join with the College community in remembering those we lost on that day and paying tribute to heroic first responders and service members who answered the call of duty to ensure our safety and freedom.”
