Dr. Amy Contrera, Acting CIO and AVP, Technology Services

Pending the MCC Board of Trustees’ approval on August 5, 2024, Dr. Amy Contrera will assume the role of MCC’s Interim/Acting Chief Information Officer and Associate Vice President, Technology Services, effective August 5, 2024.

Currently serving MCC as Deputy Chief Information Officer, Dr. Contrera possesses the skills, expertise, and leadership qualities to succeed in this position. Since joining MCC in 2016, she has played an ever-increasing critical role in overseeing the daily operations of several key Technology Services areas; led technology related institution-wide initiatives in line with the College’s mission; and played critical roles in several SUNY initiatives, including the negotiation of several technology related contracts.

Dr. Contrera earned her EdD in Education Administration with specialization in Higher Education from the University of Rochester’s Warner School of Education and Human Development.  Amy is proudly a first-generation college student, having previously earning a Bachelor of Arts, and a Masters in Organizational Management from Roberts Wesleyan University.

I am confident that Dr. Contrera’s leadership and direction will serve Technology Services well.
