TCC, Day 2 of our gratitude series: Kudos to you, MCC Faculty and Staff!

The second day of TCC’s semi-annual gratitude series continues with kudos from colleagues to colleagues. Please join me in celebrating the English, World Languages and Cultures, and Visual and Performing Arts faculty members.

Amy Burtner (English)

  • Amy Burtner is a wonderful colleague and friend! She has done a fantastic job being a faculty lead in the TCC at the Brighton Campus.  Her contributions to the TCC do not go unnoticed.  I am grateful for the opportunity to work closely with Amy and admire her dedication to MCC.  Amy's passion for writing and poetry shines through.  At the end of the 2023-2024 academic year, Amy created and provided the TCC members with an anthology of all the poems she has contributed to TCC meetings throughout the years.  Thank you, Amy! We all appreciate you!

Diane Clements (English)

  • Diane has been a tremendous support to me this semester.  Her teaching inspires me to try new techniques in the classroom.  She looks out for me and I feel appreciated as a colleague.

Margaret ("Peggy") Osenbach (World Languages and Cultures)

  • Peggy is the friendly face and knowledgeable instructor for many English Language Learners new to campus.  She consistently finds ways her students can engage in language learning opportunities, in and out of the classroom. She is a supportive colleague and wonderful to work with!  Our students, and our department, are lucky to have her!

Christine Cormack (VaPA)

  • Christine is so kind and welcoming, she does an amazing job answering any and all questions I have as a new instructor about classroom spaces and the department in general. I am super appreciative of all her support throughout this semester!

Jason Flack (VaPA)

  • Kudos Jason for your tireless efforts as chair of the Visual and Performing Arts Dept., and for your work as the director of the Mercer Gallery. We thank you for the daily round of meetings you attend on our behalf and the music you bring into our offices. Your continued support and moments of levity are greatly appreciated!

Lori Moses (VaPA)

  • Kudos Lori for your long hours of dedication to MCC's students: helping them write papers for class and helping them create hundreds of Monroe Doctrine editions the MCC community has enjoyed over the years. Thank you for your seemingly never-ending work on behalf of the VaPA Department, as its former chair and the many, many, many curriculum assessments you have spearheaded. Your time and efforts have not gone unnoticed. We appreciate you!
