Virtual Campus Instructional Development Team Wins Award for Professional Development
It is with great pleasure that I inform you that WNYBUG Leaders have chosen our MCC Virtual Campus Instructional Development Team: Tom Capuano, Jeremy Case, Andrea Gilbert and Anjuali Parasnis-Samar as this year's recipient of the WNYBUG Catalyst Award for Professional Development.
In the nomination Dr. Lawrence S. Dugan, Director of Instructional Technologies, noted that:
"MCC's Team Based Model brings together a support team that is knowledgeable in instructional design, technology, research, and innovation. The burden of many of the elements of course development have been alleviated from the faculty member, so as to allow them to focus almost exclusively on their area of expertise. This approach has also lead to a more consistent design for online courses across campus, providing the students with a seamless experience when taking multiple courses."
They are invited to attend the WNYBUG e-Learning Day where they will be recognized during the Blackboard Keynote address on Friday, November 9th at Hilbert College in Hamburg, New York.
Congratulations on this outstanding recognition!
