Middle States Moment: Why Accreditation Matters to Everyone at MCC

Accreditation is not just about meeting standards; it’s about showcasing who we are as a college through our collective commitment to excellence.  Through our accreditation with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), Monroe Community College demonstrates that we meet rigorous standards across academics, student services, operations, and planning. This process affirms to students, families, and the broader community that MCC is an institution dedicated to continuous improvement.

Why Accreditation Matters to All of Us:

  • It upholds the value of our degrees. Accreditation ensures that MCC's credentials are recognized and respected by employers and other educational institutions.
  • It supports student success. The self-study and peer review processes inherent in accreditation help us identify areas for growth, enhancing the overall student experience.
  • It fosters institutional integrity. Accreditation holds us accountable to high standards, promoting transparency and trust within our community.
  • It’s a collective effort. Every role at MCC, from faculty and advisors to facilities and administrative staff, contributes to the quality and effectiveness of our institution. Your work helps to tell MCC’s story and shape the student experience.

This is our final Middle States Moment for the semester. To stay informed about our ongoing self-study progress, please visit our Middle States website
